The best option is to replace your tonearm, because, even if you manage to correct the issue by adjusting the pivoting screw (aka conical screw - because of it's cone shape), the issue will only return at a later date - we've found that this later date usually = THE BIGGEST DJ NIGHT OF YOUR LIFE. It's Murphy's law in action, always happens at the worst possible moment. So, better safe than sorry in this regards. Of course, cost is a factor. TONEARMS are not cheap, and if you have it professionally done, could double in price with labor and calibration. The turntables in these videos are for a client, who happens to own a nightclub. Because his turntables are critical to his business, we will replace the tonearms -vs- the temporary fix method described in the video.
